Our Programs
Children's Program
For ages 1.5 to 8
We Invite all young dancers to participate in our children's program to experience the joy dance can bring to a child. Dancers in the children's program are introduced to:

Basic ballet positions

Basic coordination
-
Dancing and sharing space with others
-
Center work
-
Traveling steps
-
Skillset progresses throughout the year
-
Cooperating with children their age
-
Being respectful to the teacher
-
A fun and stimulating learning environment
CPPA Recital
CPPA recital dancers are provided with a performance opportunity at the end of the year to showcase all of their hard work throughout the year. All classes listed on the fall schedule have the opportunity to perform unless marked with a .
• Recital will take place at the end of the school year in early June
• There will also be a dress rehearsal prior to the recital date









Classical Track
For ages 7+
Serious Ballet Requirements – Evaluation Required to Participate
Rigorous curriculum designed to prepare dancers for professional careers in concert dance as well as entrance into top conservatories and college programs.

Classical track dancers are admitted through invitation and audition only
-
Specific required classes and performances at each level, as well as additional optional studies
-
In addition to classical techniques, dancers also study Modern, Jazz, and forms of Comtemporary



Performance Track
By invitation only
Dancers invited are committing to a year-long obligation that involves:

Being an outstanding role model and representation of CPPA
-
Attending all required classes
-
Showing an exemplary work ethic
-
Being respectful to peers and teachers
Competitions
Weekly rehearsals to prepare for upcoming competitions
-
Competitions start in January and go through May
-
Competitions are in-state or in a neighboring state
-
Dancers compete in group dances and are encouraged to partake in solos, duos, and trios
Conventions
-
Dancers are required to attend at least one dance convention each season
-
Typically 2–3 days and occur on weekends
-
Dancers have the opportunity to learn from world-renowned teachers and choreographers
-
In-house master classes are also offered












Centre Track
Ages 8+
All dancers are invited to join Centre Track
-
Classes for a more recreational level allow dancers to experience the accomplishment dance can bring
-
Designed to give dancers training without the commitment of competition
Recital
-
Centre Track dancers are invited to showcase their hard work in the CPPA Recital
-
Classes on the fall schedule marked with a ** will not perform
-
Recital will take place in early June
-
There is a dress rehearsal prior to the recital
