Class Attire

Wearing the right clothing and footwear enhances your performance and comfort while dancing. To make it easy, you can purchase the recommended items directly through our Nimbly Store – Shop Now. Be sure to check the specific requirements for each class type so you’re well-prepared and ready to move with confidence!

Children's Program

Toddler/Creative Movement

Girls

  • Any color/style leotard

  • Pink convertible or footed tights 

  • Pink ballet shoes (and black tap shoes for Creative Movement)

  • Hair should be pulled back or in a bun

Boys

  • Any color t-shirt

  • Shorts or sweat pants

  • Black ballet shoes (and black tap shoes for Creative Movement)

Ballet Fundamentals/Primary Classes

Girls

  • Any color leotard and tights

  • Pink ballet slippers & black tap shoes

  • Bare feet or tan jazz shoe for jazz

  • Long hair must be pulled back

Boys

  • Any color t-shirt

  • Shorts or sweat pants

  • Black ballet & tap shoes

  • Bare feet or tan jazz shoe for jazz

  • Long hair must be pulled back

Hip Hop

  • Athletic, fitted clothing or pull shorts over leotard if desired

  • Long hair must be pulled back

  • Tan jazz shoes (Jazz and Hip Hop) 

Centre Track

Ballet

  • Any style black leotard

  • Pink convertible or footed tights

  • Pink ballet shoes

  • For Pointe students, dancers must have their shoes approved by their primary ballet and pointe teacher

  • Hair in bun

Tap/Jazz/Hip Hop

  • Tan jazz shoes (Jazz and Hip Hop) 

  • Black tap shoes (Tap) 

  • Dancers in Hip Hop classes can also wear athletic style clothing or pull tight shorts over leotard

  • Long hair must be pulled back

Performance Track (Troupe)

Ballet/Modern

  • Any style black leotard

  • Modern class - dancers can pull tight shorts over leotard (no loose clothing)

  • Pink convertible or footed tights

  • Pink canvas ballet shoes- ballet/bare feet modern 

  • For Pointe students, dancers must have their shoes approved by their primary ballet and pointe teacher

  • Hair in bun

Jazz/Contemporary/Lyrical/Musical Theater/Rehearsal

  • Sports bras, leggings, athletic shorts, athletic tops are permitted

  • No T-shirts or baggy clothing

  • Tan jazz shoes (Jazz and Musical Theater classes) (Some teachers may allow bare feet) 

  • Hair pulled back out of dancers face i.e ponytail or bun

Acro

  • Sports bras, leggings, athletic shirts and shorts or leotards (no tights or convertible tights)

  • Hair pulled back out of dancers face i.e ponytail or bun
